Cerco Design is a multimedia design and communications agency based out of Calgary, Alberta. In the midst of a period of growth and establishing the company, my team embarked on a defining project: the creation of the Cerco brand identity and website mockup. With our leader, and founder temporarily away, I embraced the challenge of aligning his vision with my own creative instincts.
At the heart of Cerco lies a story of creativity and collaboration, symbolized by our journey to define its identity. Drawing inspiration from the Italian word “cerco” meaning “to look for,” I craft a brand that resonated with our ethos and aspirations. The Cerco palette, anchored by bold red, embodies the spirit of innovation and collaboration that defines Cerco and it’s home in Calgary. This choice, influenced by the simplicity of ink on paper, reflects our commitment to timeless design principles rooted in Calgary’s creative landscape.Central to our brand narrative is the convergence of physical and digital realms—a concept embodied by our iconic logo. I decided to create a bold symbol of Cerco’s identity by blending my own art medium of linocut printmaking with digital refinement, and created a symbol that leaves a tangible imprint on our work and in the minds of our audience.
Creating the Cerco brand was an incredibly empowering project that allowed me to incorporate a lot of my own aesthetic inclinations into something bigger than myself.
I created multimedia marketing materials with an elevated design and adherence to brand identity, as well as writing and editing content for all marketing materials.
I wrote and designed custom project proposal presentations for Cerco Design, meticulously tailored to each client through my comprehensive brand discovery process. These presentations served as compelling showcases of our services, expertise, and unique approach, effectively conveying our value proposition to potential clients. Through personalized content and visually captivating design, we aimed to leave a lasting impression and foster meaningful connections with our audience.
I wrote and created brand introduction presentations in order to introduce the ethos of the company in a visually appealing and easily understandable way, and introduce our services.
I also presented project examples in a clear and concise manner, accompanied by relevant examples and case studies to demonstrate our capabilities and track record of success.
Throughout the design process, I prioritized visual aesthetics to ensure the presentations were not only informative but also visually appealing. Utilizing dynamic layouts, eye-catching graphics, and cohesive branding elements, I created a cohesive visual identity that reinforced Cerco Design’s professionalism and creativity.
