Project Details
In this project, I endeavored to
I created this infographic series as a way to combine my passion for history and anthropology with my design skills. The goal for this series was to create a collection of visually dyanmic posters that condensed information about three genus Homo species in a easily digestable way. These infographics were created with a museum display or educational magazine spread in mind. I collected research from various scientific journal articles I was familiar with through my degree studies. I condensed this information by taking point-form notes, and highlighting the most relevant pieces to explain visually. I also read numerous anthropological articles in National Geographic and studied how they utilized design to illustrate the information in the article.
I used three unique colour palettes for these infographics, to fully explore how bright colours can interact while not overpowering the message of the piece. This is a series I would like to continue in the future, exploring more of the genus Homo species. Anthropology is a subject that I am passionate about, and I believe it can be communicated in many creative ways through visual design.
